A subject that has been brought up in the news recently is the advantages and disadvantages of having phones in the classrooms, so here are some pros and cons of having phones in the classroom to help you decide for yourself. 

Some Pros of having phones in class is it will  enhance learning and give you more access to information. By having your phone in class you will be able to research more, you can download academic apps and can give you valuable tools. Another benefit of having a phone in the classroom is it improves your communication skills. By having a phone you learn to communicate with many different people in many different ways. I think one of the biggest reasons why we should have phones in class is because it would be beneficial to have them for emergencies and be able to have an easy way to communicate with their guardians. 

Some Cons of having phones in class could be that students could be getting cyberbullied and may affect their participation in the classroom. Another disadvantage would be that some students may take advantage of the privilege and use their phone to cheat on their schoolwork. Some other cons of having them in the classroom is the mental health risks, social isolation, and could put a burden onto teachers and staff. Lastly, the biggest in my opinion would be students getting distracted. Students having their phones on them in the classroom could distract them, because many students would go on their phones during class.
