The 2025 National Football League draft ended on Saturday, April 26th, 2025. It lasted for three whole days, and every team got fresh new players. Some of the best picks were Cam Ward (Quarterback, Tennessee Titans), Travis Hunter (Cornerback, Colorado), Shedeur Sanders (Quarterback, Cleveland Browns), and many more.
Some may have heard of the prank call that had been played on the final player mentioned in the list above, Shedeur Sanders. The person behind the call was Jax Ulbrich, who’s the son of the Atlanta Falcons Defensive coordinator. Sheduer had been waiting for a while to be drafted, and the prank call came on the second day of the NFL draft. Ulbrich called, pretending to be the General Manager of the New Orleans Saints, Mickey Loomis. The unlucky victim (Sanders) was very excited when he got the call, thinking he would finally be picked. The caller told him over the phone that: “We’re going to take you with our next pick, man…”. After a few more words, Ulbrich hung up the phone, leaving Sanders falsely happy and excited.
Well, I think we can all agree that that was a very bad idea. Jax Ulbrich’s father, Jeff Ulbrich, was fined $100,000 for his role in the unnecessary prank call on Shedeur Sanders. Eventually, though, Sanders was drafted two days after the beginning of the NFL draft to the Cleveland Browns. He’s going to be competing against the other Quarterbacks in the team for the starting position. He will be going up against players like Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Deshaun Watson, and Dillon Gabriel.
ANYways, in short, the draft went (mostly well…), and teams are mostly (if not only) happy with their picks. Plus, fans all over the world were able to enjoy the draft. I hope you did, too.
