When do you start to put up fall decorations? Do you put them up in September, or October, or not even based on the month?
I think that fall decorations should be put up when you look out your window and see a sea of reds, oranges, and yellows. When the air is crisp and cold, and the spooky season is nearing, is the best time to put up your decorations rather than during a specific month or a specific day.
On the topic of decorations, there is a difference between fall decorations and Halloween decorations. It is okay to put up fall decorations when fall arrives, but Halloween decorations shouldn’t go up until October at the earliest. That also kind of goes for all holiday decorations with the exception of a few holidays.
Fall decorations are usually leaf garlands, scarecrows, scents such as apple and cinnamon, pumpkins, and more. Halloween decorations are “haunted” stuff. For example, ghosts, spiders and spiderwebs, skeletons, jack ‘o’ lanterns, bats, zombies, etc.
