A 41 year old man died in a plane crash at the Municipal Airport in Cambridge, Minnesota. The fatal crash happened on Thursday September 5th 2025 at 11:25 am.
Emergency services received a call reporting a possible plane crash near the Cambridge Municipal Airport. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discover the aircraft in a field just to the north of the runway.
The name of the pilot is being disclosed until the family gives permission. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Board have been called in to lead an investigation into the cause of the crash. Midwest Medical Examiners Office will be handling the autopsy of the pilot to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities say no one else was on board the plane. It is possible that it happened because of the incorrect use of the auxiliary fuel tank during landing, causing the crash.
