Ever heard of Woodstock 99? That was probably the biggest example of the way music is able to affect people. Then, that effect was mainly the promotion of anger. Now, people wonder why music can make them cry, or feel unstoppable.
The reason you feel like you want to cry is because those types of music activates the parasympathetic nervous system, making us feel the need to cry.
The reason that music can make you feel unstoppable (and maybe like you want to take over the world) is because it creates tension and release, meaning that it’s the resolve of that tension that we ourselves feel physically.
Music can have a huge effect on people and their emotions, especially when people hit their teenage years.

I would love to have more of a conversation on this topic! I know some people who have dementia/alzhiemers that have received their memory back through music. Music effects many parts of the brain and can trigger memories, emotions, and help the brain be more effective!
