Recently I took a trip to Mexico for a holiday and to see family but I noticed that people don’t in Mexico don’t drink their tap water and there were signs everywhere at my hotel, and in the middle of stores so I started to do some research and here’s what I found out. 1. In Mexico they have very poor infrastructure so most cities can’t pay for clean water 2. Agricultural runoff,which means that in some farm areas water can go into a certain spot that leads to tap water so in farms there could be animal waste or unhealthy plants/funguses. 3. Industrial pollution. Sometimes there’s a factory near a water plant that cleans the water but pollution can sometimes get past cleaners and make it into a water source and that adds up over time so don’t drink the water. Here are some tips in case you go to Mexico soon 1. Don’t drink the water 2. You can have an ice cube because most restaurants/hotels make ice cubes out of bottled water 3. Drink bottled water most hotels provide it 4. You can brush your teeth but don’t swallow.
