Let’s start with the question ‘What really is a tariff?’. A tariff is the charging of goods imported to us from other countries. It may seem like this only affects the people who are paying for the importing of these goods, but it really ends up hurting the buyers of the actual products that are being imported more. This just makes the cost of the things that we need to live a sustainable life even more expensive than it already is. People already have to pay enough for the regular things to live, and we, the people (as the Declaration of Independence says), are paying the price.
