Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is a very popular Christmas story book, written by Robert L. May in 1939. It is considered a Christmas Classic. Many people don’t know that Robert L. May also wrote a sequel to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer in 1947 called Rudolph’s Second Christmas, but he never published it. Robert L. May retired in 1970 and died in 1976. Robert L. May’s daughter discovered a manuscript in 1991 and had it published.
The book Rudolph’s Second Christmas is an action pack story with Rudolph coming to the rescue again on Christmas day. This time it has nothing to do with his red nose. Rudolph meets two kids that never received their Christmas gifts the past year. He also meets up with several animals that could use some help. Rudolph comes up with a clever plan to bring these two groups together to make a wonderful Christmas.
