During this NFL offseason, football fans (and maybe some non-football fans) have been very well aware that many iconic players have gone to free-agency and many teams have looked into re-signings and much more. Despite the fact that our country is known for its American Football, the NFL is looking to expand the area of the National Football League and the sport of American football.
The NFL began their International Expansion Plan back in 1991, when they began NFL Europe. Their work on this project has continued up until this day. The NFL is looking into expanding their games into London, Berlin, Madrid, Dublin, and Sao Paulo all in this year, 2025 (CBS Sports). They are also planning to host an American Football game in Melbourne, Australia in 2026 (also CBS Sports). Our country may be known for our American Football now, but pretty soon, it may not just be American.
