Have you ever been laying in bed and all of a sudden you remember, “Shoot! I have an assignment due tomorrow!” The panic starts to wash over you, and you end up staying up way too late doing your work? Well, then I’ve got some advice for you! This month, a student asked me, “How do you keep up with hard school work?” For me, when my work gets hard, I try my best to get it done at school, but if that doesn’t work out, I usually take it home and do it. At home, I set up the best work environment. I go somewhere in my house where I won’t be disturbed. I make sure to bring a snack and water bottle if I’ve got a lot to do. I play some of my favorite songs or instrumental pieces to listen to while I work, and then I take my time to get it all done. So if your school work is piling up, maybe ask your teacher to work in their classroom during your recess, and get as much done there. I’d also take advantage of all the free time you’ve got. It might seem like you’re only doing school work at the time, but trust me, in the long run, you’ll feel way better knowing you have all your work done. Now you can sleep easy since you’re on top of your school work!
